Yo! The name's Errol Service Jr. (most people just call me EJ!). I am an African American performing artist of Caribbean descent currently based in the Detroit Area. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater at the Boston Conservatory in May 2024!

Before I found theater, I was a multi-sport athlete and computer wiz who had dreams of being as fast and fluid as my favorite video game character: Sonic The Hedgehog. This led me to growing up teaching myself how to sprint fast, jump high, and make the world my playground! I stumbled upon acting at 10 years old when I registered for my elementary school's popular after-school drama program. Although I started as a shy and introverted individual, a budding affection for performance helped me grow into a confident artist who found a way to combine facets of my love for video games, extreme martial arts, free movement, anime, singing, and learning about the human experience into a unique personality that shines whenever I get to help tell new stories.

My professional theater career began unexpectedly in 2021 when I was cast as a swing actor in Moonbox Productions' (Boston, MA) Passing Strange, where I got to go on for the Youth near the end of the run. Since then, I've been able to perform works with theaters like Gateway Playhouse, The Umbrella Stage Company, Timber Lake Playhouse, and The Broadway Palm Dinner Theater. I want to continue to share my joy and love for theater in any space I have the honor of being a part of. Focusing more on stories that have the potential of becoming something truly epic and exciting where I have the freedom to challenge my limitless energy to create uniquely untouchable work.

I have also worked on independent short films and web series and am incredibly excited to begin to deeply explore the world of cinematic storytelling through action, stuntwork, and dramatic work!

Lastly, I am an aspiring voice actor who dreams of giving voices to the world's next iconic video game and anime characters. Gaming is my second life. It has provided me with so much of who I am as a person and performing artist today. I cannot wait to get opportunities to use my talents to give back to the industry that has gifted me with so much individuality.
